With Halloween just around the corner it seemed appropriate to do a Halloween themed<span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #666666; font-family: Arial;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: 12px;"> </span></span><a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/product_p/ordiyp1.htm">Globecraft Memories</a><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #666666; font-family: Arial;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: 12px;"> </span></span>frame. The frame used for this project is a <a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/product_p/gf737.htm">Classic Traditional Oval</a>.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkrPy3ogYcBWLnX3JnZGICT66Mp3mP8KaGyzcuXZu0OjohO4gpRp0CngOsfPGTO0fvhTqLvx_FCLJzNrgKMuAQ0j7_GMjcnneovOZpv2IZZGr87g0kEgJldHCPMXUrFvkEGRrdt2CpQ7Y/s1600/DSC_6315.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkrPy3ogYcBWLnX3JnZGICT66Mp3mP8KaGyzcuXZu0OjohO4gpRp0CngOsfPGTO0fvhTqLvx_FCLJzNrgKMuAQ0j7_GMjcnneovOZpv2IZZGr87g0kEgJldHCPMXUrFvkEGRrdt2CpQ7Y/s400/DSC_6315.jpg" width="297" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
The image is a copy of a vintage postcard from my personal collection. It was copied several times in-order to create layers. The boy & cat were fussy cut and dimension was added with <a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/category_s/1848.htm">Glastique Gloss Finishing Glaze</a>. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5KQye3PmAJW0-zP87PqB-tAUavDYWpMTVlpuCrJkLW11AEpRgfCCoW_LoYayZCZ_YU77hjwQr9SS5O2rIVhqDgv0QO2ZK7-ryvACl911hbX44OBHUNASiLUUgjGN3MRVmV4OQ6A7t16c/s1600/DSC_6308.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="234" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5KQye3PmAJW0-zP87PqB-tAUavDYWpMTVlpuCrJkLW11AEpRgfCCoW_LoYayZCZ_YU77hjwQr9SS5O2rIVhqDgv0QO2ZK7-ryvACl911hbX44OBHUNASiLUUgjGN3MRVmV4OQ6A7t16c/s320/DSC_6308.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Each layer of the frame was covered with pattern paper then sanded to get the white edge. They were then finished with</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/category_s/1848.htm">Glastique Gloss Finishing Glaze</a>. The Piccolo Card Decor <a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/product_p/f008.htm">Fine Flower Vines Flourish</a> was covered with <a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/category_s/1848.htm">Glastique Gloss Finishing Glaze</a> the dipped in orange glitter. Robins Nest Dew Drops were adhered with <a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/category_s/1848.htm">Glastique Gloss Finishing Glaze</a> to the center of the flowers. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
The images, Piccolo Card Decor <a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/product_p/f008.htm">Fine Flower Vines Flourish</a>, a small lace spider web and beaded embellishments were arranged then frame was put in place with <a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/category_s/1848.htm">Glastique Gloss Finishing Glaze</a>.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<span class="Apple-style-span">To add the finishing touches the word Halloween and </span>Piccolo Card Decor <a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/product_p/f008.htm">Fine Flower Vines Flourishes</a> were added to the outer frame.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
I love the <a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/category_s/1848.htm">Glastique Gloss Finishing Glaze</a>, it has a dual purpose: 1- Add shine and dimension with a protective coating. 2- A perfect glue to adhere Piccolo Accents and Card Decor. Bonus it dries clear!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">

Wouldn't that be nice? Temperatures here in Iowa have been pretty chilly and Autumn is in full swing. The leaves are falling from the trees and the plants are resting until Spring.<br />
For my "Fortune Teller" Globe, I've used <a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/category_s/1831.htm">Card Decor Set #7</a>, <a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/product_p/epvgo.htm">Vintage Gold Piccolo Enamel</a> and <a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/product_p/epvbg.htm">Vintage Black Piccolo Enamel.</a> The card decor sets are perfect for off the page projects. The Clear ball is a Clear Christmas Ornament and can be purchased at many Craft Stores. I've used acetate for the inside and adhered a "Fortune" to the front. The bottom base is a tuna can that has been heat embossed with Vintage Gold. The decorative cover was an antique shoppe find. Place a small battery operated teal light in the can and it lights the glass ball!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJ3QllBeud8dkFetgzK9PAL7VxaAiYGlsx3guNrPmmvFhVwypjaf9Wvs6YyouvBIBsdnlIs9LQCjSVdjArUv7NPu-Gc-MckEevfjviFrgFclLHPRPcTE2FChAXrGIx0e7ICRBGX6yRHAOS/s1600/fortune+teller+final.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="270" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJ3QllBeud8dkFetgzK9PAL7VxaAiYGlsx3guNrPmmvFhVwypjaf9Wvs6YyouvBIBsdnlIs9LQCjSVdjArUv7NPu-Gc-MckEevfjviFrgFclLHPRPcTE2FChAXrGIx0e7ICRBGX6yRHAOS/s400/fortune+teller+final.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I used some fiber fill in a pair of vintage gloves and glued them to the ball.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This is my last post for Hobby Baby and it's been lots of fun and an opportunity to work with some amazing products. Hope you get a chance to make your "fortunes" come true :)</div>

<div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: verdana, tahoma, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; line-height: 19.450000762939453px; margin-bottom: 0.7em; margin-top: 0.7em; padding: 0px;">
Sometimes life is tough. It is easy to get caught up in the negativity that surrounds us. So, it is important to keep reminding ourselves what is the most important.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: verdana, tahoma, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; line-height: 19.450000762939453px; margin-bottom: 0.7em; margin-top: 0.7em; padding: 0px;">
In my life, I am thankful that I have two beautiful children who are happy and healthy and starting their own adult lives.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: verdana, tahoma, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; line-height: 19.450000762939453px; margin-bottom: 0.7em; margin-top: 0.7em; padding: 0px;">
I am also incredibly thankful for my amazing husband who does everything humanly possible to make me smile — even if it means telling bad jokes or doing silly dances — things he would probably deny if questioned.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: verdana, tahoma, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; line-height: 19.450000762939453px; margin-bottom: 0.7em; margin-top: 0.7em; padding: 0px;">
To help keep me focused on the positive and important things in life, I created this 8×10 canvas to hang in my home. (click on the photos for a larger view)</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: verdana, tahoma, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; line-height: 19.450000762939453px; margin-bottom: 0.7em; margin-top: 0.7em; padding: 0px;">
<a href="http://candyspiegel.files.wordpress.com/2012/10/029.jpg" style="border-bottom-color: rgb(153, 102, 51); border-bottom-style: dashed; border-bottom-width: 1px; color: #265e15; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; text-decoration: none;"><img alt="" class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1566" height="300" src="http://candyspiegel.files.wordpress.com/2012/10/029.jpg?w=245&h=300" style="background-image: url(http://s0.wp.com/wp-content/themes/pub/mistylook/img/shadow.gif); background-position: 100% 100%; background-repeat: no-repeat no-repeat; border-left-color: rgb(238, 238, 238); border-left-width: 1px; border-style: solid none none solid; border-top-color: rgb(238, 238, 238); border-top-width: 1px; display: block; height: auto; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px auto; max-width: 100%; padding: 4px 10px 10px 4px;" title="Thankful canvas" width="245" /></a>I created the background with Glimmer Mists in oranges and yellows.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: verdana, tahoma, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; line-height: 19.450000762939453px; margin-bottom: 0.7em; margin-top: 0.7em; padding: 0px;">
The paper is Authentique’s new Thankful line.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: verdana, tahoma, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; line-height: 19.450000762939453px; margin-bottom: 0.7em; margin-top: 0.7em; padding: 0px;">
I used dies from Tim Holtz/Sizzix to cut out the leaves, then added a bit of Distress Ink and molded them with my fingers to be dimensional.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: verdana, tahoma, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; line-height: 19.450000762939453px; margin-bottom: 0.7em; margin-top: 0.7em; padding: 0px;">
<a href="http://candyspiegel.files.wordpress.com/2012/10/028.jpg" style="border-bottom-color: rgb(153, 102, 51); border-bottom-style: dashed; border-bottom-width: 1px; color: #265e15; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; text-decoration: none;"><img alt="" class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1567" height="300" src="http://candyspiegel.files.wordpress.com/2012/10/028.jpg?w=264&h=300" style="background-image: url(http://s0.wp.com/wp-content/themes/pub/mistylook/img/shadow.gif); background-position: 100% 100%; background-repeat: no-repeat no-repeat; border-left-color: rgb(238, 238, 238); border-left-width: 1px; border-style: solid none none solid; border-top-color: rgb(238, 238, 238); border-top-width: 1px; display: block; height: auto; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px auto; max-width: 100%; padding: 4px 10px 10px 4px;" title="028" width="264" /></a>Then, I added a few acorns, cut out from the paper, and topped them with Distress Stickles. They give a soft sparkle without it being in-your-face bling.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: verdana, tahoma, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; line-height: 19.450000762939453px; margin-bottom: 0.7em; margin-top: 0.7em; padding: 0px;">
The word Thankful is cut out with my Cricut and the smaller words are cut with a Lifestyle Crafts die.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: verdana, tahoma, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; line-height: 19.450000762939453px; margin-bottom: 0.7em; margin-top: 0.7em; padding: 0px;">
The globe is from<a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/product_p/ordiyp1.htm" target="_blank"> Globecraft Memories</a>. I used the top ring and one globe from the<a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/product_p/ordiyp1.htm" target="_blank"> DIY Portrait Ornament Kit. </a>I ran the frame through an embossing folder and then coated it with<a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/Victorian_Bronze_Enamel_Powder_p/epvvb.htm" target="_blank"> Victorian Bronze Enamel Powder</a>. I made the family photo sepia toned to match.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: verdana, tahoma, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; line-height: 19.450000762939453px; margin-bottom: 0.7em; margin-top: 0.7em; padding: 0px;">

I love the elegance they provide.</div>

For this month's project, I wanted to celebrate Halloween - in particular Halloween Graveyard Haunting! There's certainly a trend toward decorating for Halloween as we generally do for Christmas. </span><a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/category_s/1823.htm" style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; line-height: 20px;" target="_blank">Globecraft Memories ornaments </a><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; line-height: 20px;">are perfect for the celebration! </span><br />

<span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; line-height: 20px;">When I first approached this project, I had ideas...but really wasn't sure how to execute them. And here's my confession...I was having so much fun creating - I FORGOT to take pictures along the way! However, steps are outlined below...and what's more important - I summon you to give this a haunted try!</span><br />

<b><u>Instructions</u></b></div>
<div style="background-color: white; margin-bottom: 1.667em; padding: 0px;">
</div>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 20px;">Cover the middle layer of the Little Fancy Oval Bubble Frame with Green Cardstock. Distress edges with black ink. (Use the rest of the bubble frame for another project!)</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 20px;">Emboss the Orange Cardstock with Sizzix Embossing Plate (Flower Rings). Distress flowers with black ink.</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: x-small;">Emboss the center layer (design) of the Halloween Graveyard Haunting Ornament with Black Embossing Powder. For a matte look, Copic markers work well! Actually, just about any media works great - try your favorite!</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial, 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; line-height: 20px;">The ornament frame comes with two bubbles. Paint the back bubble with Black Acrylic Paint. You will need to paint several layers - allowing to dry between layers. Acrylic paint dries quickly, though, so this project can be finished rather quickly.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial, 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; line-height: 20px;">Once the back bubble is solidly coated with Black Acrylic Paint, add one more layer. While this layer is still wet, sparingly cover with Silver Glitter for that full-moonlight effect. Allow to dry - shake off any excess glitter before assembling bubble frame.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 20px;">Assemble Bubble Frame - Orange Layer on top of Black Embossed Design Layer on top of Green Layer.</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 20px;">Add Ribbon Bow to the Ornament Hole.</span></span></li>
</ul>

The Hubs has been taking some outdoor photos with our new camera and I just new the<span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/product_p/ck7pc1.htm"> Pumpkin Bubble Frame Kit</a></span> was the perfect piece to display one of them!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ULliaP5GiTg/UG0IChBUbqI/AAAAAAAADpM/Ktei9ylkdjg/s1600/GEDC0251.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="272" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ULliaP5GiTg/UG0IChBUbqI/AAAAAAAADpM/Ktei9ylkdjg/s400/GEDC0251.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Rather than use the pumpkin straight from the package I redid it in Vintage Double Dot papers by BoBunny. To make sure my papers fit correctly I laid the pumpkin layers FACE down on the BACK of the patterned papers and traced them. Then I cut them out, flipped them over, and distressed them with walnut stain distress ink.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

Unfortunately after this month the Hobby Baby DT will be disbanded, but I've been so lucky to be offered a position with Globecraft to continually design for them each fourth week of the month! Be sure to keep an eye out on the website for my works and some videos :) </div>

Today I layered some of the Graphic 45 Halloween papers with the Pumpkin frame. I took the image and cut an oval so it would fit in the frame. Second, I cut the full image of the girl and layered with foam tape. Then cut another image of her from the hands up (coating the last image with <a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/category_s/1848.htm">Glasstique</a>) and adhered with foam tap. Inside and outside the frame you will see <a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/category_s/1831.htm">Piccolo Card Decor</a> <a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/product_p/psm11.htm">swirls</a> and <a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/product_p/x001.htm">leaves</a>. They were embossed with <a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/Mossy_Glen_Enamel_Powder_p/epnmg.htm">Mossy Glen Enamel Powder</a>. The images on the outside of the frame are fussy cut from Graphic 45's Halloween line also. A thin layer of <a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/category_s/1848.htm">Glasstique</a> was applied to stiffen them. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; text-align: center;">

Recently, my husband and I celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary. The past year has been tough on us both with several drastic changes, including job loss and moving to a new community. So, on our anniversary, I wanted to show him how special he is to me and how much I appreciated his weathering the storms by my side.</div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;">
I used the themes of sailing and ships throughout the piece.</div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;">
I started with the<a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/product_p/gf728.htm" target="_blank"> Grand Rectangle Globe Frame.</a></div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;">
<a data-mce-href="http://candyspiegel.files.wordpress.com/2012/06/0071.jpg" href="http://candyspiegel.files.wordpress.com/2012/06/0071.jpg"><img alt="" class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1352" data-mce-src="http://candyspiegel.files.wordpress.com/2012/06/0071.jpg?w=300" height="233" src="http://candyspiegel.files.wordpress.com/2012/06/0071.jpg?w=300" style="border: 0px; display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" title="007" width="300" /></a></div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;">
However, instead of attaching the back piece of book board to the frame, used a hinge so it would open like a book.</div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;">
<a data-mce-href="http://candyspiegel.files.wordpress.com/2012/06/0181.jpg" href="http://candyspiegel.files.wordpress.com/2012/06/0181.jpg"><img alt="" class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1353" data-mce-src="http://candyspiegel.files.wordpress.com/2012/06/0181.jpg?w=284" height="300" src="http://candyspiegel.files.wordpress.com/2012/06/0181.jpg?w=284" style="border: 0px; cursor: default; display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" title="018" width="284" /></a></div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;">
The little "story" I wrote to go inside is filled with references to shipping and sailing. I used Distress Ink to tone down the white of the paper. The lighthouse paper is really old. I'm not sure who made it. The hearts are Piccolo parts I pulled out of a<a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/category_s/1831.htm" target="_blank"> card decor set </a>and then enameled with <a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/product_p/epvcn.htm" target="_blank">Vintage Copper</a>.</div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;">
<a data-mce-href="http://candyspiegel.files.wordpress.com/2012/06/0201.jpg" href="http://candyspiegel.files.wordpress.com/2012/06/0201.jpg"><img alt="" class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1354" data-mce-src="http://candyspiegel.files.wordpress.com/2012/06/0201.jpg?w=96" height="300" src="http://candyspiegel.files.wordpress.com/2012/06/0201.jpg?w=96" style="border: 0px; cursor: default; display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" title="020" width="96" /></a></div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;">
I didn't have any hinges, so I made these using the Tiny Tags & Tabs die from Tim Holtz/Sizzix. I cut them out of Grungepaper, since it is stronger and allows some flexibility.</div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;">
<a data-mce-href="http://candyspiegel.files.wordpress.com/2012/06/012.jpg" href="http://candyspiegel.files.wordpress.com/2012/06/012.jpg"><img alt="" class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1355" data-mce-src="http://candyspiegel.files.wordpress.com/2012/06/012.jpg?w=300" height="171" src="http://candyspiegel.files.wordpress.com/2012/06/012.jpg?w=300" style="border: 0px; cursor: default; display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" title="012" width="300" /></a></div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;">
Then, I used Piccolo Enamel Powders to cover the Grungepaper. I used <a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/product_p/epvsi.htm" target="_blank">Vintage Silver</a> and then a hint of <a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/Mossy_Glen_Enamel_Powder_p/epnmg.htm" target="_blank">Mossy Glen</a> to replicate algae in the water. I added a few brads so they would look more industrial and less like office supplies.</div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;">
Now for the front ...</div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;">
<a data-mce-href="http://candyspiegel.files.wordpress.com/2012/06/0171.jpg" href="http://candyspiegel.files.wordpress.com/2012/06/0171.jpg"><img alt="" class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1356" data-mce-src="http://candyspiegel.files.wordpress.com/2012/06/0171.jpg?w=300" height="225" src="http://candyspiegel.files.wordpress.com/2012/06/0171.jpg?w=300" style="border: 0px; cursor: default; display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" title="017" width="300" /></a></div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;">
The main background is created by applying layers and layers of Distress Stain in several colors: Chipped Sapphire, Broken China, Tumbled Glass, Peeled Paint and Picket Fence. I used spritzes of water and a heat gun and kept going until I thought it looked like the water. Then I spritzed a homemade mix of Perfect Pearls (Gold & Salty Ocean Reinker) in a few spots because sometimes water sparkles.</div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;">
I wanted to add a fishing net, but I haven't been able to locate one, so I improvised with the Chicken Wire Crafters Workshop template. I used the <a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/product_p/saoeoa.htm" target="_blank">Piccolo Enamel Powder Adhesive</a> through the template and then applied <a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/product_p/epvcn.htm" target="_blank">Vintage Copper Enamel Powder.</a> It's shiny, but I think it gives the feeling of a net.</div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;">
The top mat I wanted to look like a ship, so I embossed it with a Tim Holtz/Sizzix bubble folder and then coated it with <a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/product_p/epvsi.htm" target="_blank">Vintage Silver Enamel Powder</a>. Next, I added some Archival ink in black, did a little scraping with my fingernail and a bit of sanding, then some more powder and more ink until I got the look I was going for.</div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;">
The middle layer, which I attached with Pop Dots, was painted black and then coated with a 50/50 mix of <a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/product_p/glgfg1.htm" target="_blank">Glastique</a> and water so it was a bit shiny -- like the paint used in ships.</div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;">
<a data-mce-href="http://candyspiegel.files.wordpress.com/2012/06/013.jpg" href="http://candyspiegel.files.wordpress.com/2012/06/013.jpg"><img alt="" class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1357" data-mce-src="http://candyspiegel.files.wordpress.com/2012/06/013.jpg?w=286" height="300" src="http://candyspiegel.files.wordpress.com/2012/06/013.jpg?w=286" style="border: 0px; cursor: default; display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" title="013" width="286" /></a></div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;">
I added a few metal hardware parts (stolen from my husband's tool box) and a metal star from a Bo Bunny accessory set that I thought resembled a starfish. The smaller gear is another <a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/product_p/st002.htm" target="_blank">Piccolo</a> part, enameled in <a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/product_p/epnts.htm" target="_blank">Temple Stone.</a></div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;">
<a data-mce-href="http://candyspiegel.files.wordpress.com/2012/06/0101.jpg" href="http://candyspiegel.files.wordpress.com/2012/06/0101.jpg"><img alt="" class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1358" data-mce-src="http://candyspiegel.files.wordpress.com/2012/06/0101.jpg?w=237" height="300" src="http://candyspiegel.files.wordpress.com/2012/06/0101.jpg?w=237" style="border: 0px; cursor: default; display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" title="010" width="237" /></a></div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;">
I added a couple more Piccolo gears (one in <a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/product_p/epnbg.htm" target="_blank">Brownstone</a>) and a compass sticker to the bottom corner. The keyhole was needed to balance the project, even though it has nothing to do with a ship. It's from that same pack of accessories from Bo Bunny. I did add a bit of twine to it, since there is always rope on a ship.</div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;">
<a data-mce-href="http://candyspiegel.files.wordpress.com/2012/06/0141.jpg" href="http://candyspiegel.files.wordpress.com/2012/06/0141.jpg"><img alt="" class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1359" data-mce-src="http://candyspiegel.files.wordpress.com/2012/06/0141.jpg?w=300" height="204" src="http://candyspiegel.files.wordpress.com/2012/06/0141.jpg?w=300" style="border: 0px; cursor: default; display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" title="014" width="300" /></a></div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;">
And, my sense of humor forced me to add the little fish in the bottom corner. It, too, is a <a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/product_p/n001.htm" target="_blank">Piccolo</a> part (enameled in<a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/product_p/epm24.htm" target="_blank"> 24K</a>) as is the<a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/product_p/n001.htm" target="_blank"> seaweed</a> next to it (
<a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/Mossy_Glen_Enamel_Powder_p/epnmg.htm" target="_blank">Mossy Glen</a> ). I love to add a cute or unexpected element and what was better than a fish?</div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;">
To tie it in, I enameled a brass washer (also stolen from my husband) in
<a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/product_p/epvsi.htm" target="_blank">Vintage Silver Enamel Powder</a> to serve as a port-hole. I must warn you, if you enamel metal, be extremely careful when you touch it. It heats up and, depending on the metal, may take a long time to cool -- 30 minutes after I heated this washer, it was still warm.</div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;">
Enjoy the day on or off the water!</div>

I get to share one more project that went to CHA for the Winter show in Chicago:</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mKaB9OcK0X4/UEV4yKp5W8I/AAAAAAAADJg/hDWoYqN4uW0/s1600/IMG_9985.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mKaB9OcK0X4/UEV4yKp5W8I/AAAAAAAADJg/hDWoYqN4uW0/s640/IMG_9985.JPG" width="452" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This is the <span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/product_p/orpuo1.htm">Pumpkins Ornament </a></span>available for $3.99. I embossed the pieces with <span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/product_p/epmss.htm">Siam Silver</a></span> ($6.49) and then inked them with alcohol inks. For the vines on the pumpkins I used the <span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/product_p/fl002.htm">Medium Flourishes</a></span> charm set ($3.99), embossed with the <span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/Mossy_Glen_Enamel_Powder_p/epnmg.htm">Mossy Glen</a></span> enamel ($6.49). Before I adhered everything together I added a bit of moss to the inside of my piece. It's backed with just plain white cardstock so I could make sure and glue all my moss down securely.. nothing worse than moss (or other bits!) floating around inside a plastic globe! On the outside of my globe I twirled some brown wire and adhered a vintage button to the top. Sort of a "third" pumpkin on the outside :) </div>

This month I had a great time creating the </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/category_s/1824.htm">Steampunk Airship Kit</a>! </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0IDweBOOGMgDQx5Ew9ouML7B0v4AxwthWogmnrwqkEqvs17FfekAiBbfCvuGhCCuqNbJQ-UWKhQJc7zLo_T8Gz20GvUc9SM_Du_cMzmgmHnYC0fmfCAeBH5QFTdpOMxf_X2vAt8MR5q0/s1600/DSC_5908.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="290" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0IDweBOOGMgDQx5Ew9ouML7B0v4AxwthWogmnrwqkEqvs17FfekAiBbfCvuGhCCuqNbJQ-UWKhQJc7zLo_T8Gz20GvUc9SM_Du_cMzmgmHnYC0fmfCAeBH5QFTdpOMxf_X2vAt8MR5q0/s400/DSC_5908.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
To make this I used the <a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/category_s/1824.htm">Steampunk Airship Kit</a>, Piccolo Accents: from <a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/product_p/f006.htm">Floral Whimsy</a> the swirls were used on the top and <a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/product_p/st002.htm">Vintage Gears Embellishments Set</a> for the additional gears inside, the the turn key in the front. <a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/category_s/1832.htm">Piccolo Enamel Powders</a> and <a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/product_p/saoeoa.htm">Piccolo Enamel Powder Adhesive</a> and <a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/product_p/glgfg1.htm">Glastique Gloss Finishing Gaze</a> to glue the airship together.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Below is a picture of the kit... you may notice I have a lot more gears in my finished airship.<br />

Hi, this is Candy and for my turn posting for Hobby Baby this month I am sharing a new technique (well, new to me at least) that I call faux metal embossing.<br />
<br />
For this project, I used the<a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/product_p/gf515.htm" target="_blank"> Little Fancy Oval globe from Globecraft Memories</a>. I did not use the top frame because I wanted more of the metal embossing to show through.<br />
<br />
Here's how I did it:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWvOtpRIGkwLpvYc4wZoNxLALqY4VLtjmicH_-4UMZa_jOAJxrUNRshQVY2mYivGCM_YB0Jb5ATbFrXxmKaK9etp_wG9k59aQ_iJ1sfEix6OF7eh8k9-4CUbJzFBYRNZX2U86fcMmjxao/s1600/001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="220" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWvOtpRIGkwLpvYc4wZoNxLALqY4VLtjmicH_-4UMZa_jOAJxrUNRshQVY2mYivGCM_YB0Jb5ATbFrXxmKaK9etp_wG9k59aQ_iJ1sfEix6OF7eh8k9-4CUbJzFBYRNZX2U86fcMmjxao/s320/001.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
First, I placed the frame in a Sizzix/Tim Holtz Texture Fades embossing folder and ran it through my Big Shot so it created the raised impressions.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigvLd0U2yAov7QfGLFyUUW9H-gsrPn0xSOF8idBda5QS-vJFSGfcfg9g1zwrXJ-KHAVYg8inXIsta23ZAvHRci6PBnZcn1vh7KyTJvIi8owp8UVYfvnErRpWYSPaZLY-F7maK5RuGPKDc/s1600/002.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigvLd0U2yAov7QfGLFyUUW9H-gsrPn0xSOF8idBda5QS-vJFSGfcfg9g1zwrXJ-KHAVYg8inXIsta23ZAvHRci6PBnZcn1vh7KyTJvIi8owp8UVYfvnErRpWYSPaZLY-F7maK5RuGPKDc/s320/002.JPG" width="270" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Then, I inked the entire thing with Rusty Hinge Distress Ink using an ink applicator tool.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzQVkpluU-ASUT2vs1e1WRarGIGiEXcDczPqGBjG4GBpfIdse3KGlH24G-x6E9RSqGMnVR-EJ39eWKnXmZWuCw1cnCdUaNnJDII9XFhspZO0jlpnSz3PetFQy4N9UZ6qblsgQHGXdCWoQ/s1600/003.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzQVkpluU-ASUT2vs1e1WRarGIGiEXcDczPqGBjG4GBpfIdse3KGlH24G-x6E9RSqGMnVR-EJ39eWKnXmZWuCw1cnCdUaNnJDII9XFhspZO0jlpnSz3PetFQy4N9UZ6qblsgQHGXdCWoQ/s320/003.JPG" width="271" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
To add some depth, I went back in with Walnut Stain Distress Ink and with a dabber, added some additional color here and there.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiWkjwnkW_giZmsosrvafFXiTmXQNM5_s7xC9Ey_KBTEGfwEzvXd5RKJ9w3kQ06593kGJ8Y79RUmoZlBUuwAaKmdIe9_HqTr0KMzD4PSKDaGJSNMAQFgrv-vewuU6cMyFtOoMKKoL85S7I/s1600/004.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiWkjwnkW_giZmsosrvafFXiTmXQNM5_s7xC9Ey_KBTEGfwEzvXd5RKJ9w3kQ06593kGJ8Y79RUmoZlBUuwAaKmdIe9_HqTr0KMzD4PSKDaGJSNMAQFgrv-vewuU6cMyFtOoMKKoL85S7I/s320/004.JPG" width="278" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Next it is time to add the "metal" ... I covered a brayer with <a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/product_p/saoeoa.htm" target="_blank">Piccolo Enamel Powder Adhesive</a> and then ran the brayer over the frame, highlighting just the raised edges. Then, I sprinkled<a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/product_p/epmck.htm" target="_blank"> Copper Kettle Enamel Powder </a>over the top. I used a dry paintbrush to brush off any enamel powder that stuck where it wasn't supposed to and then melted the powder with a <a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/product_p/saht.htm" target="_blank">heat gun</a>.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRMLZ9MaqHd2T4Mx9ad_0c7L6ng6_D0tkJ2ItW5dQMtAkngsLX0weSv1ClGcu766N7gm6vuJePSuWrNzKx9McrlsCAZCCmTlbOcb9Rj5a4lbSLE7yBAdRfekmHxcJa3MDQgZOS1mnT480/s1600/007.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRMLZ9MaqHd2T4Mx9ad_0c7L6ng6_D0tkJ2ItW5dQMtAkngsLX0weSv1ClGcu766N7gm6vuJePSuWrNzKx9McrlsCAZCCmTlbOcb9Rj5a4lbSLE7yBAdRfekmHxcJa3MDQgZOS1mnT480/s320/007.JPG" width="296" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
After repeating that last step twice, this is the finished product. Doesn't it look like embossed metal?!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgRIi-0QVz6rJi2EnlhCqmws97FSXGd2E_sYq6_gZbzJK7pVjASlt5yBvwCRIXKRYe_npKtxfOWyM03n39KZormUKsy_AsMjgx4ajai8l45PhfHkH8RJWMDUSZsnAZ-3DWJj0v4uJLsGhs/s1600/013.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgRIi-0QVz6rJi2EnlhCqmws97FSXGd2E_sYq6_gZbzJK7pVjASlt5yBvwCRIXKRYe_npKtxfOWyM03n39KZormUKsy_AsMjgx4ajai8l45PhfHkH8RJWMDUSZsnAZ-3DWJj0v4uJLsGhs/s320/013.JPG" width="247" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
To finish off my project, I covered that back frame with <a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/product_p/epmck.htm" target="_blank">Copper Kettle Enamel Powder </a>and painted the easel black. I used brads to cover the alignment holes. The ribbon is from Maya Road, dyed to match the outfit my aunt is wearing in the photo. The flower is from Making Memories. I printed our names and the date of the photo on the computer, trimmed and inked them to match. Our names were attached with<a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/product_p/sabfas176.htm" target="_blank"> Black Foam Adhesive Squares</a> to provide a bit more depth and definition.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
By the way, the photo is of me and my dad's youngest sister. It was recently given to my mom by an aunt. Until then, we didn't know the photo existed, so it is a bit special.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Thanks for reading and I hope you try this new technique soon!</div>

<br />
The <a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/category_s/1822.htm" target="_blank">Brag Book Kit</a> includes three-layer chipboard book cover, chipboard book back cover, clear 1" deep photo bubble, and decorative display stand. The album includes high quality cardstock to use as a base for the accordion pages. Add paper, enamel powders, paint, ink, Piccolo card decor, embellishments, or other items to create a one-of-a-kind display.<br />
<br />
For this album that captures the first two weeks of my new nephew's life, I used a textured - almost fabric-like - paper with stitching. Because the stitching easily unravels once cut, I folded the paper over the edges to secure. I generally don't do that, but liked the more finished look in the end. <br />
<br />
Click <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=XGivFte3Oq0" target="_blank">here </a>to see a video for assembly instructions. Be sure to add the front cover AFTER you've embellished the pages.<br />
<br />
I chose to embellish the pages with simple black-and-white pictures with a bit of green . . . since Ethan's nursery has a "woodsy" theme with birch trees on one wall, I thought green would fit better than traditional baby colors. Finishing touches included string "pearls" around the frame & front cover edges and <b><a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/category_s/1831.htm" target="_blank">Piccolo Card Decor</a></b>, <b><a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/category_s/1838.htm" target="_blank">Accents</a></b>, and <b><a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/category_s/1839.htm" target="_blank">Charms </a></b>- all covered with<b> <a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/product_p/epm24.htm" target="_blank">24K Gold Enamel Powder</a></b>. Piccolo Embellishments used include<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/product_p/h002.htm" target="_blank"><b>Vintage Hearts Charm Set</b></a><br />

Hello Globecraft fans!! DeeDee here today.. and I have the distinct pleasure of sharing one of my favorite globes.. it was even at Summer CHA in Chicago on display for Globecraft Memories and Hobby Baby in their booth!!!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I used the<br /><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/product_p/ortto1.htm">Trick Or Treat Ornament - $3.99</a></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-j4jwjk246iA/UCHBlMnxa6I/AAAAAAAADAQ/YX165xZBCGw/s1600/IMG_9982.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-j4jwjk246iA/UCHBlMnxa6I/AAAAAAAADAQ/YX165xZBCGw/s640/IMG_9982.JPG" width="566" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
To alter the frame I distressed the edges with Vintage photo distress stain, and stamped the frame surface with a Viva Las VegaStamps! stamp. I backed the ornament with plain white cardstock, topped the it with a gorgeous silk vintage ribbon and blinged it up a little with some half pearls. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

I am loving my LADIES DIARY pattern paper from Graphic 45. Using one of the Hobby Baby <a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/product_p/csbf334.htm">3D Greeting Card Rectangle Bubble Frames</a>. I was able to showcase one of the beautiful ladies and some to the delicate flowers. Fussy cut lady and flowers to use in the arrangement. <br />

The <a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/product_p/csbf334.htm">3D Greeting Card Rectangle Bubble Frames</a> is just the right size for wallet sized pictures. Perfect for giving those school pictures to grandparents. The finished frame is approximately 4 1/4" x 51/4" x 1/2".<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjELNyPGmIZuR5A_4fVkyYuOIJJhOPp7rq9Fxh031SxGsnhr2XK7ovXsWQaHX3AeosqZMffiqAylslKVd8TFwwr6fululdG9ka6Omq60icrelubObya1XYaXZlTw17yPmV3qGeweIA-2Po/s1600/DSC_5685.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjELNyPGmIZuR5A_4fVkyYuOIJJhOPp7rq9Fxh031SxGsnhr2XK7ovXsWQaHX3AeosqZMffiqAylslKVd8TFwwr6fululdG9ka6Omq60icrelubObya1XYaXZlTw17yPmV3qGeweIA-2Po/s320/DSC_5685.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
To adhere the beads to the frame I used the amazing <a href="http://www.piccolodecor.com/product_p/csbf334.htm">Glastique Gloss Finishing Glaze</a> as a glue. It is a flexible finishing glaze that goes on as a clear coating, used as a clear coat glaze it remains flexible and dries crystal clear.<br />

Globecraft Memories has created the most delicious Christmas ornaments.
Today I want to share a few with you. today. These delightful ornaments
made their debut at CHA. There are a variety of designs and I love them
all. I have tons of ideas for things I want to do.<br />
<br />
This first one is a beautiful angel. Took the center piece and covered
it with embossing enamel adhesive. Then I sprinkled it with <a href="http://www.globecraftmemories.com/inc/sdetail/copper_kettle_/762/809">copper kettle embossing enamel</a>. I flash set it, then added a second coat and did a full heat set. <br />
<br />

For the top layer, I ran the chipboard through my Vagabond in my Divine
Swirls embossing folder. I used a versamark pen to trace the swirls and
covered them in the copper kettle powder. I heat set that. <br />

Next I filled in between the swirls with liquid pearls in a dark blue
and let it dry. Once dry, I covered it all with a dark blue Stickles. I
then added multiple coats of <a href="http://www.globecraftmemories.com/inc/sdetail/glastique___gloss_flexible_finishing_glaze/256/609">glossy Glastique</a>. It made such a thick glossy coating. It almost looked like real glass. It added such a depth to the ornament.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjajvahIGAEXX0pN0UUOVzcpaOMiDX409omoHSQJXCAlxS0vHyzYB-ajmEtlr2KvM5qADf5dE_C3VedhxH1Wnbf8DWjb2EOrYn6kUxlaIOvghYCgxqY3RIxEhT6vSVQStmfSKSjz8VDsY0/s1600/july4transfer+485.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjajvahIGAEXX0pN0UUOVzcpaOMiDX409omoHSQJXCAlxS0vHyzYB-ajmEtlr2KvM5qADf5dE_C3VedhxH1Wnbf8DWjb2EOrYn6kUxlaIOvghYCgxqY3RIxEhT6vSVQStmfSKSjz8VDsY0/s320/july4transfer+485.jpg" width="247" /></a></div>
The back globe was painted with the liquid pearls and Stickles. I wish I
could send this ornament to each of you to see. It turned out gorgeous.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
This second ornament is also an angel. This one is bowing down to the
Christ child. This one was elegant and beautiful as well. I painted the
back globe with Chocolate Brown Liquid Pearls. I masked off the outer
edge of the middle piece. I used the enamel adhesive to coat the angel,
Christ child, star, and hanger loop with <a href="http://www.globecraftmemories.com/inc/sdetail/24k_gold_powder_/762/806">24K Gold Embossing enamel.</a> Once that was heat set. I painted the outer edge with Jenni Bowlin's Malted Milk acrylic paint. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

The top ring was covered in embossing enamel adhesive as well, and then sprinkled with <a href="http://www.globecraftmemories.com/inc/sdetail/mermaid_tears_powder_/762/799">Mermaid Tears embossing enamel.</a>
I flash set and then added a second coat before doing a full heat set.
They were all glued together using Glastique which makes a great
adhesive as well.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Cardmakers put hours into making cards to send to someone who may look at them once and then put them in a box or, worse, throw them away. <span style="background-color: white;">Until now ...</span><br />
<span style="background-color: white;"><br /></span><br />
<span style="background-color: white;">Globecraft Memories has created a unique card, called Easel Greetings, that encourage recipients to keep their cards on display.</span><br />

<b><u>Instructions</u></b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b><u><br /></u></b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The Bubble Frame comes with three oval layers. I did not use the middle layer - but it will come in handy for another project some day. Globecraft makes good use of all the chipboard cut and sells scrap pieces by the bag. These bags generally contain insides of cut frames in various sizes. So the bottom layer of this project is the inside scrap piece from <a href="http://globecraftmemories.com/inc/sdetail/classic_fancy_rectangle_bubble_frame/311/145" target="_blank">Classic Rectangle Bubble Frame</a>. I covered the bottom layer with United Paper, the middle layer with Block Party Jamboree, and the top layer with Piccolo Vintage Copper Enamel Powder.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjhuauPd9mojacQD9KKlvhiZ4LfYz7paZdpyIOX7bEPi5YlwL3jnQIAZDM5siWOwV9G3e2gihgBlKS3GixVBhgaALvbZFkdwnyljG7rsLcPx-M6TFLvVCFFwAhcQGNEi_PWTbMvo51Jf_Vj/s1600/GCMJuly2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjhuauPd9mojacQD9KKlvhiZ4LfYz7paZdpyIOX7bEPi5YlwL3jnQIAZDM5siWOwV9G3e2gihgBlKS3GixVBhgaALvbZFkdwnyljG7rsLcPx-M6TFLvVCFFwAhcQGNEi_PWTbMvo51Jf_Vj/s320/GCMJuly2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I next constructed the inside to be dimensional. The picture is a picture of Sgt. Depottey's memorial. To give the memorial dimension, I printed three copies. I left one copy untouched (bottom layer), I fussy cut around the entire memorial (middle layer), then I fussy cut around the boots and helmet. Note: Before printing my pictures, I edit them in Photoshop and use the cookie cutter oval about 1/8" larger than frame dimensions. That way I have an idea of how the picture will fit in the frame before printing.</div>
