Lady of the Past

I am loving my LADIES DIARY pattern paper from Graphic 45.  Using one of the Hobby Baby 3D Greeting Card Rectangle Bubble Frames. I was able to showcase one of the beautiful ladies and some to the delicate flowers. Fussy cut lady and flowers to use in the arrangement.
The 3D Greeting Card Rectangle Bubble Frames is just the right size for wallet sized pictures.  Perfect for giving those school pictures to grandparents.  The finished frame is approximately 4 1/4" x 51/4" x 1/2".
To adhere the beads to the frame I used the amazing Glastique Gloss Finishing Glaze as a glue.  It is a flexible finishing glaze that goes on as a clear coating, used as a clear coat glaze it remains flexible and dries crystal clear.
From the Piccolo Decor Card Set 5 paint the Cat  & Bird  with acrylic craft paint, then seal with the Glastique Gloss Finishing Glaze. Coat the Piccolo Bird Cage with Piccolo Embossing Enamel Vintage Gold; adhered the Piccolo Enamel Powder Adhesive.  Adhere the Piccolo Decor pieces to the frame with Glastique Gloss Finishing Glaze.

Glastique Gloss Finishing Glaze
Piccolo Embossing Enamel Vintage Gold
Piccolo Enamel Powder Adhesive

Christmas In July

Globecraft Memories has created the most delicious Christmas ornaments. Today I want to share a few with you. today. These delightful ornaments made their debut at CHA. There are a variety of designs and I love them all. I have tons of ideas for things I want to do.

This first one is a beautiful angel. Took the center piece and covered it with embossing enamel adhesive. Then I sprinkled it with copper kettle embossing enamel. I flash set it, then added a second coat and did a full heat set.

For the top layer, I ran the chipboard through my Vagabond in my Divine Swirls embossing folder. I used a versamark pen to trace the swirls and covered them in the copper kettle powder. I heat set that.

Next I filled in between the swirls with liquid pearls in a dark blue and let it dry. Once dry, I covered it all with a dark blue Stickles. I then added multiple coats of glossy Glastique. It made such a thick glossy coating. It almost looked like real glass. It added such a depth to the ornament.
The back globe was painted with the liquid pearls and Stickles. I wish I could send this ornament to each of you to see. It turned out gorgeous.

This second ornament is also an angel. This one is bowing down to the Christ child. This one was elegant and beautiful as well. I painted the back globe with Chocolate Brown Liquid Pearls. I masked off the outer edge of the middle piece. I used the enamel adhesive to coat the angel, Christ child, star, and hanger loop with 24K Gold Embossing enamel.  Once that was heat set. I painted the outer edge with Jenni Bowlin's Malted Milk acrylic paint.
The top ring was covered in embossing enamel adhesive as well, and then sprinkled with Mermaid Tears embossing enamel. I flash set and then added a second coat before doing a full heat set. They were all glued together using Glastique which makes a great adhesive as well.

I hope you like the ornaments. They were fun to make. I will share another in the next day or two. I love them. You can head over to Globe Craft Memories and save 25% by using coupon code TS25.

New Easel Greetings

Hi! It's Candy back to share another exciting new product from Globecraft Memories ...

Cardmakers put hours into making cards to send to someone who may look at them once and then put them in a box or, worse, throw them away. Until now ...

Globecraft Memories has created a unique card, called Easel Greetings, that encourage recipients to keep their cards on display.

Made of thick cardstock, they come like this:

You decorate the front and then fold them for easy mailing.

The recipient then places the bottom of the card in the little slot and they have a standing card to enjoy.

And, the best part ... they cost less than $1 each!

For the front of my card, I used a Tim Holtz Texture Folder to emboss the honeycomb pattern. Then, I inked it with Wild Honey and Rusty Hinge Distress Ink.

I cut the flowers out of Bazzill cardstock using my Cricut. The stamp is from Lawn Fawn and the bees are brads from Eyelet Outlet.

The Easel Greetings will soon be on Globecraft Memories' website.

But, you can order any of their wonderful products today for 25% off if you use coupon code TS25.

Never Forgotten

Today I'm back with patriotic inspiration with a small memorial to fallen solders using the Little Fancy Oval Bubble Frame from Globecraft Memories.  This frame is made in memory of Army Sgt. Jeremy E. Depottey from Newberry, Michigan, and our cousin, Army Master Sgt. Anthony R. C. Yost from Flint, Michigan. Fallen Heroes Memorials were erected in their home towns.  This project is a gift to my sister, Lori Miller, who devoted an extraordinary amount of time leading fundraising activities for Sgt. Depottey's memorial.

Globecraft Products used in this project
Little Fancy Oval Bubble Frame
Scrap Chipboard Piece
Piccolo Enamel Powder - Vintage Copper

Other Products:  Cardstock - United Paper (Authentique), Cardstock - Block Party Jamboree (Bo Bunny), American Flag Sticker (eksuccess), Never Forgotten Sticker and Gold Star Sticker - Americana (K & Company), Wafer Thin Velcro Fasteners

Instructions

The Bubble Frame comes with three oval layers.  I did not use the middle layer - but it will come in handy for another project some day.  Globecraft makes good use of all the chipboard cut and sells scrap pieces by the bag.  These bags generally contain insides of cut frames in various sizes.  So the bottom layer of this project is the inside scrap piece from Classic Rectangle Bubble Frame. I covered the bottom layer with United Paper, the middle layer with Block Party Jamboree, and the top layer with Piccolo Vintage Copper Enamel Powder.

I next constructed the inside to be dimensional.  The picture is a picture of Sgt. Depottey's memorial.  To give the memorial dimension, I printed three copies.  I left one copy untouched (bottom layer), I fussy cut around the entire memorial (middle layer), then I fussy cut around the boots and helmet.  Note:  Before printing my pictures, I edit them in Photoshop and use the cookie cutter oval about 1/8" larger than frame dimensions.  That way I have an idea of how the picture will fit in the frame before printing.

.
I layered the memorial pieces using pop dots.

I added a flag using pop dots.  I constructed the bubble frame using Wafer Thin Velcro Fasteners.  I added a thoughtful sentiment from K & Company - and a small star at the bottom to cover the alignment pin hole.

You can order Bubble Frames and Vintage Copper Enamel Powder - not to mention all kinds of fun items - from Globecraft Memories - Use Discount Code TS25 to get 25% Off your entire order!

Gettin' a little spoooooky!

Hello everybody! Hope all is well :)

Today I've got a sneak peek for you!!

A Halloween Globe Ornament by Globecraft Memories. They're new, they're fun... and you'll totally dig decorating them!! (keep an eye on the site, the'll be there!!) Today's show is.... a graveyard!! I chose to give this one three layers of the Piccolo vintage silver embossing enamel which was adhered to the frame using the Embossing Powder Adhesive and then blasted with a heat gun. Then I rubbed it down with a black reinker and wiped off excess ink.

The background is a piece of solid black cardstock. and the twine is just something I had laying around. it sort of holds its shape when you crinkle it up. Don't forget right now we have a 25% off coupon for you to use if you plan on making any Globecraft Memories purchases... Use coupon code "TS25" =)

My Hero....

Hello Everyone.

Happy 4th of July.

I have to tell you being married to a Military man really makes you appreciate your freedom,
and what it takes to have that Freedom.

Today I want to share this great frame that I m
ade, in honor of my husband. I started with a Classic Fancy Rectangle Bubble Frame from Globecraft Memories.

The Fancy Rectangle has a fun, light hearted design that looks great with most any photo! The chipboard multi-layer frame has a 1" deep globe for pictures, small keepsakes, art, and crafts. Use scrapbook paper, paints, or embossing powders to decorate your frame.

I choose red, white, and blue papers to highlight this photo of my husband. This was very easy to do. I used the frames as templates and traced them on the back of the paper the used my scissors to cut the frames out. I love how the bubble make it stand out from my other frame making it look more important. I then added the like Navy plaque to finish this little wonder off.

Thanks for stopping by.
